Lombardy-Venetia, officially the Kingdom (Regno) of Lombardy-Venetia, was a crown land of the Austrian Empire in northern Italy from 1815 to 1866. Created by the Congress of Vienna after the Napoleonic Wars, it combined Lombardy with the Venetian territories of the former Republic of Venice into a single administrative unit. The capital and political center was Milan, though Venice remained a major economic and cultural hub within the realm. The territory covered parts of the Po Valley and the Adriatic coast, including major cities such as Milan, Brescia, Verona, Padua, and Venice.
