Lisandpolümeeri

Lisandpolümeeri is a term used in polymer science to describe a polymer that is formed through addition polymerization. This process involves the sequential addition of monomers to a growing polymer chain without the loss of any atoms. In contrast to condensation polymerization, where small molecules like water are released as byproducts, addition polymerization typically involves monomers with double or triple bonds that open up to form new single bonds, linking the monomers together.

Common examples of polymers formed via addition polymerization include polyethylene, polypropylene, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The monomers for these polymers are ethylene, propylene, and vinyl chloride, respectively. The chain growth mechanism in addition polymerization can be initiated by free radicals, cations, or anions.
