Linjo

Linjo is a coastal town and municipality in the fictional country of Solara. It lies on the sheltered Harrow Bay along a gently rising shoreline. The town serves as a local hub for fishing, small-scale industry, and tourism, with a compact urban center surrounding a historic harbor.

Linjo traces its roots to a medieval fishing village established in the 14th century. It expanded in the 18th and 19th centuries with the arrival of trade routes and a lighthouse. The modern era brought improvements in infrastructure and education while preserving the harbor's traditional character.

Geographically, Linjo sits on a low coastal plain with a nearby river delta that supports agriculture and freshwater fishing. The local economy centers on artisanal fisheries, citrus orchard production, a small seafood processing plant, and tourism focused on marine activities, coastal trails, and a weekly market.

The municipality is governed by a mayor and a nine-member council elected for four-year terms. As of the latest estimates, Linjo has about 7,500 residents, predominantly speaking Linjoan with Solaran as a secondary language; the population is aging slightly but retains a younger cohort in the surrounding parish.
