Lindon

Lindon is a toponym used for multiple places and fictional settings. In the United States, Lindon is a city in Utah County, Utah, located in the Provo–Orem metropolitan area. It is a residential community that forms part of the Wasatch Front region.

In J. R. R. Tolkien’s legendarium, Lindon refers to a realm on the western coast of Middle-earth inhabited by Elves. Its principal settlement is Mithlond, the Grey Havens, a major harbor from which Elves sailed to the Undying Lands of Valinor. Lindon plays a role in the history of the Elves during the First, Second, and Third Ages and is associated with Elven culture, shipbuilding, and maritime activity.
