Likertove

Likertove is a small settlement located in Mount Batten, Plymouth, England. The area is situated on the eastern coast of the England's southern coast, facing the Plymouth Sound. It is also known as the secondary runway of Plymouth Airport.

Likertove has a long history, dating back to the early 20th century when it was a key part of the airport's operations. During World War II, the area played an important role in the war effort as a testing ground for a number of aircraft and landing craft. In the post-war period, the airport was closed and the runway was subsequently abandoned.

In recent years, the formerly polluted area has been targeted for redevelopment. A major project aimed to restore the site to a more natural state, and to reduce the environmental impact that had accumulated over the years. Although the specific outcome of the project is uncertain, it is understood to have made significant progress in achieving its overall goals.

The area retains many of the original facilities of the former airport.
