Liitoslevälämmönvaihdin

A liitoslevälämmönvaihdin, often translated as a plate heat exchanger, is a highly efficient device used for transferring heat between two fluids. These fluids can be liquids or gases, and they flow through separate channels created by a series of thin, corrugated metal plates. The plates are typically made of stainless steel or other corrosion-resistant alloys, and they are pressed together to form a compact unit.

The corrugated design of the plates serves two main purposes. Firstly, it increases the surface area available for heat transfer. Secondly, it creates turbulence in the fluid flow, which further enhances the rate of heat exchange. One fluid flows on one side of each plate, while the other fluid flows on the opposite side. As the fluids pass through the exchanger, heat is transferred from the hotter fluid to the colder fluid through the thin metal plates.
