Liikeperäiset

Liikeperäiset is a Finnish term that literally means “movement-derived” or “related to movement.” It is not a widely standardized concept with a single fixed definition, and its precise meaning depends on the discipline and the author describing it. Because of this, liikeperäiset typically appears in specialized texts rather than in general dictionaries.

In linguistic or language-study contexts, some authors use liikeperäiset to refer to phenomena that encode motion or motion-related semantics, such as how movement, direction, or change of state is expressed in verbs or constructions.
