Lightgas
Lightgas, also known as producer gas or town gas, is a combustible gas mixture primarily composed of hydrogen, carbon monoxide, and nitrogen. It was historically produced through the gasification of coal or other carbonaceous materials in a process called coal gasification or town gas production. This process involved heating the fuel in the absence of sufficient oxygen, leading to the formation of the combustible gases.
The main components of lightgas, hydrogen (H2) and carbon monoxide (CO), are flammable and can be used
Historically, lightgas played a significant role in urban environments before the widespread adoption of natural gas.
The decline of lightgas usage began with the discovery and exploitation of large natural gas reserves. Natural
