Leukozytenaktivität refers to the complex processes by which white blood cells, also known as leukocytes, respond to and engage with stimuli in the body. This activity is a cornerstone of the immune system's function, enabling the detection and elimination of pathogens, removal of damaged cells, and the initiation of inflammatory responses.

Key aspects of leukozytenaktivität include chemotaxis, the directed migration of leukocytes towards a site of injury or infection guided by chemical signals. Adhesion is another crucial step, where leukocytes attach to the blood vessel walls near the affected area before migrating into the surrounding tissues. Once at the site, leukocytes can perform phagocytosis, engulfing and digesting foreign particles or cellular debris.
