Lehmade

Lehmade is a municipality in the district of Vorpommern-Rügen in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. It is located on the Baltic Sea coast, south of Stralsund. The municipality includes the villages of Lehmade, Groß Kordshagen, and Vorland. Lehmade has a population of approximately 800 people.

The area has a long history, with evidence of settlement dating back to the Stone Age. In the medieval period, Lehmade was part of the Duchy of Pomerania. The village of Lehmade itself is mentioned in historical records as early as the 14th century.
