Laplander
A Laplander is a person from Lapland, a region in Northern Europe that spans the northernmost parts of Finland and Sweden, and the northern parts of Norway. The term "Laplander" has historically been used to refer to the Sámi people, who are indigenous to this area. The Sámi have their own distinct language, culture, and traditions. While the term "Laplander" is still in common usage, many Sámi people prefer to be referred to by their own ethnic name, Sámi.
