Langinkoski
Langinkoski is a locality on the Kymi River in southeastern Finland, near the town of Kotka. The area is best known for the Langinkoski Imperial Fishing Lodge, a wooden estate constructed in the late 19th century as a summer residence for Emperor Alexander III of Russia and his family, during Finland’s status as an autonomous Grand Duchy within the Russian Empire. Building work began in 1889, and the lodge hosted the imperial family on several summers in the 1890s. The complex includes the main house, outbuildings, a boathouse, and landscaped grounds along the river.
