Lakeville
Lakeville is a town located in Plymouth County, Massachusetts. Situated in southeastern Massachusetts, it is part of the greater Boston metropolitan area. The town was incorporated in 1714, originally as a part of Middleborough before separating. Lakeville is known for its numerous lakes and ponds, which significantly shape its landscape and recreational opportunities. The most prominent of these is Assawompsett Pond, the largest natural lake in Massachusetts, which is shared with the neighboring towns of Freetown, Berkley, and Rochester. Other notable water bodies include Long Pond, Elder Pond, and Duck Pond.
