Natural gas is cooled to approximately -162 degrees Celsius (-260 degrees Fahrenheit) to transform it into a liquid state, significantly reducing its volume and making it feasible for maritime transport. These ships are crucial for the global energy market, enabling countries to import natural gas from regions where it is produced in abundance.
