LEDkiirguse

LEDkiirguse refers to the light emitted by Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs). LEDs are semiconductor devices that produce light when an electric current passes through them. This process is known as electroluminescence. Unlike incandescent bulbs that generate light by heating a filament, LEDs are highly efficient, producing significantly less heat and consuming less energy.

The spectrum of light emitted by an LED can be controlled during manufacturing to produce different colors. White light is typically achieved by using a blue LED and coating it with a phosphor material that absorbs some of the blue light and re-emits it as yellow or red light, which combines with the remaining blue light to appear white. The color temperature of white LED light can vary, ranging from warm white (yellowish) to cool white (bluish), measured in Kelvin.

LEDkiirguse is utilized in a vast array of applications due to its durability, long lifespan, and energy efficiency. Common uses include general lighting in homes and businesses, indicator lights in electronics, automotive lighting, displays for televisions and smartphones, and specialized lighting for horticulture and medical purposes.
