Lähettiminä

Some grammars discuss lähet- related forms as theoretical examples of how role marking might work in Finnish, illustrating broader patterns like how agents or participants can be labeled in sentences. However, lähettiminä itself is rarely attested in modern usage and is not part of standard teaching or reference works.

Usage and interpretation tend to depend on context. If a text contains lähettiminä, readers should look at surrounding syntax and vocabulary to determine whether it is being used as a theoretical or historical illustration of role marking, or whether it is a mistranscription or archaic form.
