Köztársaságok

A köztársaság, or republic, is a form of government in which the country is considered a "public matter," not the private concern or property of rulers, and where the head of state is an elected or appointed official, not a monarch. The term "köztársaság" is derived from the Latin "res publica," which translates to "public matter" or "commonwealth."

In a republic, the power is held by the people, either directly or through their elected representatives. The specific structure and powers of the government can vary widely, but common features include a separation of powers among different branches of government, such as the executive, legislative, and judicial branches. This separation helps to prevent any one branch from becoming too powerful and ensures a system of checks and balances.
