These primarily include the olecranon, the medial epicondyle, and the lateral epicondyle of the humerus, as well as the head of the radius and the olecranon process of the ulna. These prominent landmarks are important for anatomical identification and are often involved in injuries or conditions affecting the elbow.

The olecranon is the most prominent bony point at the posterior aspect of the elbow, forming the tip of the elbow. It serves as the insertion point for the triceps brachii muscle, which is responsible for extending the forearm. The medial epicondyle is located on the inner side of the elbow and is a common attachment site for the forearm flexor muscles. The lateral epicondyle is found on the outer side of the elbow and serves as the origin for the forearm extensor muscles.
