Kyberkiristys

Kyberkiristys, also known as the Kyber Crisis, was a significant event in the history of the British Empire, occurring in 1919. The crisis was a result of the British government's decision to withdraw the British Indian Army from the Indian subcontinent, following the end of World War I. The withdrawal was intended to reduce the cost of maintaining the army and to address the financial strain caused by the war.

The decision to withdraw the army was met with widespread opposition from Indian nationalists, who saw it as a betrayal of the promises made during the war. The Indian National Congress, led by Mahatma Gandhi, launched a non-violent resistance movement known as the Non-Cooperation Movement to protest the withdrawal.
