Kvinnherads

Kvinnherads is a municipality located in Vestland county, Norway. It is situated in the traditional district of Sunnhordland. The municipality was established on January 1, 1965, through the merger of the old municipalities of Fjelberg, Hordvik, Kvinnherad, and parts of Skånevik. Its administrative center is the village of Rosendal.

The geography of Kvinnherads is characterized by its dramatic fjords and mountainous terrain. The Hardangerfjord forms a significant part of its western boundary. Notable natural landmarks include the Folgefonna glacier, which is partially located within the municipality, and the mountain Melderskin.
