Kroppsvätskestatus refers to the balance of water and electrolytes within the body. This balance is crucial for maintaining normal physiological functions. The body's fluid is primarily divided into intracellular fluid, which is within the cells, and extracellular fluid, which is outside the cells. Extracellular fluid is further divided into plasma, the liquid component of blood, and interstitial fluid, which surrounds the cells.
