Kontrollerelhetséggel is a Hungarian term that translates to "controllability" in English, particularly in the context of engineering and systems theory. It refers to the property of a dynamical system that allows its internal states to be influenced or manipulated by external inputs. Essentially, it asks whether it is possible to steer the system from any initial state to any desired final state within a finite time using the available control inputs.

The concept of controllability is fundamental in designing control systems. If a system is controllable, it means that engineers can design a control strategy to achieve specific performance objectives, such as stabilizing an unstable system, tracking a desired trajectory, or rejecting external disturbances. Conversely, if a system is not controllable, there are certain states or behaviors that cannot be reached or influenced by the control inputs, limiting the system's potential performance.

Mathematical criteria exist to determine the controllability of linear time-invariant systems, often involving the rank of the controllability matrix. This matrix is constructed from the system's state-space representation, specifically its dynamics matrix and input matrix.
