Koeryhmää

Koeryhmää is the partitive singular form of the Finnish noun koeryhmä, which denotes the experimental or test group in a scientific study. The koeryhmä refers to the subset of participants or units that receive the intervention being tested, in contrast to the kontrolliryhmä (control group), which does not receive the intervention or receives a standard treatment. The concept is central to experimental design and is used across disciplines such as medicine, psychology, education, and social sciences.

Etymology and morphology: koeryhmä is formed from koe (test) and ryhmä (group).
