Kilpijärjestelmä

Kilpijärjestelmä is a Finnish term that translates to "shield system" or "armory system." It refers to a system of organizing and displaying heraldic coats of arms, particularly in historical and institutional contexts. In Finland, this concept is most prominently associated with the tradition of the Senate, the government of the Grand Duchy of Finland under Russian rule.
