Kerberospalvelimen
Kerberospalvelimen refers to a Kerberos authentication server. Kerberos is a network authentication protocol designed to provide strong authentication for client-server applications by using secret-key cryptography. The Kerberospalvelimen, often called the Key Distribution Center (KDC), is the core component of a Kerberos system. It is responsible for issuing tickets that clients use to authenticate themselves to services.
The KDC typically consists of two parts: the Authentication Server (AS) and the Ticket-Granting Server (TGS).
Implementing and managing a Kerberospalvelimen requires careful consideration of security policies, user management, and network configuration.
