Kennolevylämmö is a Finnish term that translates to "chipboard heating" and refers to a method of incorporating heating elements within chipboard or particleboard panels. This technology is primarily used for creating heated flooring systems. The chipboard itself acts as a substrate, and a heating element, often in the form of a wire or a thin mat, is embedded or attached to it during the manufacturing process or installed on-site.

The primary application of kennolevylämmö is in residential and commercial buildings to provide radiant heat. These heated panels are typically installed beneath a finished flooring material such as laminate, vinyl, or tile. The chipboard's thermal conductivity allows for efficient heat distribution from the embedded heating element to the room above.
