Katodiputken
Katodiputken is a Finnish term that translates to "cathode ray tube" in English. It refers to a vacuum tube in which a beam of electrons is projected onto a phosphorescent screen, causing it to glow. This technology was fundamental to the development of early electronic displays, most notably television screens and computer monitors.
The cathode ray tube operates by generating electrons from a heated filament, the cathode, within the vacuum
While ubiquitous for decades, cathode ray tube technology has largely been superseded by newer display technologies
