Kapslikattega

Kapslikattega is an Estonian term used to describe something that is encapsulated or coated with a capsule. The word is formed from kapsel (capsule) and katta (to cover), with the suffix -ga indicating “with.” As a compound adjective, it is used to modify nouns in contexts where a capsule-like envelope is present.

In pharmacology and medicine, kapslikattega describes dosage forms in which an active ingredient is enclosed within a capsule or capsule-shaped coating. This coating may be designed to protect the drug from the stomach’s acidity, control the release rate, mask an unpleasant taste, or improve stability and delivery to a target site.
