Kandal

Kandal is a province located in the southwestern part of Cambodia. It is bordered by the provinces of Kampong Speu to the north, Takeo to the east, and Kampot to the west. The Mekong River forms its eastern boundary, and it shares a short border with Vietnam to the south. The provincial capital is the city of Kandal Stueng.

The province is known for its fertile land, largely due to the influence of the Mekong River and its tributaries. Agriculture is the primary economic activity, with rice cultivation being the most significant crop. Other agricultural products include vegetables, fruits, and rubber. Fishing is also an important source of income and food for many communities in Kandal.
