Kalynivka

Kalynivka is a city located in the Vinnytsia Oblast of Ukraine, situated approximately 25 kilometers north of the regional capital, Vinnytsia. The city is part of the Kalynivka Raion, which it historically served as the administrative center for before the 2020 administrative reform. It lies on the banks of the Zhyrna River.

Historically, the area around Kalynivka has been inhabited for centuries. The settlement itself is believed to have originated in the 18th century. Its development was significantly influenced by the construction of the Kyiv-Odesa railway line in the late 19th century, which led to the establishment of a railway station and spurred industrial and residential growth.
