Kalinyingrádi
Kaliningrádi is the informal and colloquial name for the city of Kaliningrad in Russia. The term is often used in informal contexts, particularly by people in neighboring countries such as Poland and Lithuania, to refer to the Russian exclave. The official name of the city remains Kaliningrad. This region was formerly part of East Prussia, a German territory, before becoming part of the Soviet Union after World War II. The renaming of Königsberg to Kaliningrad and its transfer to Soviet control occurred in 1946. The usage of "Kaliningrádi" is a linguistic adaptation, often reflecting local pronunciation or a more familiar way of referring to the distinct geographical and political entity that the Kaliningrad Oblast represents. It does not denote a separate administrative unit or a different city, but rather a common, non-official way of referencing Kaliningrad.
