KEOPSEKC

KEOPSEKC is a cryptographic key exchange protocol. It is designed to allow two parties to establish a shared secret key over an insecure communication channel. The protocol's primary goal is to enable secure communication by ensuring that even if an eavesdropper intercepts the messages exchanged during the key establishment process, they cannot deduce the shared secret key.

The protocol operates in several steps. Initially, each party generates a private key and a corresponding public key. These key pairs are usually based on asymmetric cryptography, often employing techniques like the Diffie-Hellman key exchange or similar algorithms. The public keys are then exchanged between the parties. Using their own private key and the other party's public key, each participant can independently compute a shared secret value. This shared secret value is the same for both parties but is computationally infeasible for an eavesdropper to derive, even if they have captured the public keys and the exchange messages.

KEOPSEKC aims to provide forward secrecy, meaning that if a long-term private key is compromised at a later date, past communication sessions secured using keys derived from this protocol remain secure. This is typically achieved by generating ephemeral (temporary) session keys for each communication session. The security of KEOPSEKC relies on the computational difficulty of certain mathematical problems, such as the discrete logarithm problem or the factoring of large numbers, depending on the underlying cryptographic primitives used.
