Similarly, in cases of partial loss, usability value helps assess the extent of the damage based on how it affects the item's functionality.

In economic terms, usability value relates to consumer surplus and the subjective utility individuals derive from consuming goods and services. It acknowledges that an item's worth can be greater than its price if it fulfills a significant need or desire for the user.
