Järjestikühenduses

Järjestikühendus refers to a series connection in Finnish, commonly used in electrical engineering and other fields. In a series connection, components are connected end-to-end, forming a single path for current to flow. This means that the current is the same through each component in the circuit.

In an electrical circuit, when resistors are connected in series, their resistances add up to give the total resistance of the circuit. Similarly, if multiple batteries are connected in series, their voltages add up, providing a higher total voltage. However, if one component in a series circuit fails or is removed, the entire circuit is broken, and current stops flowing.

This type of connection is also found in other contexts, such as in the arrangement of items in a sequence or chain. The key characteristic remains the sequential nature and the dependence of the whole on each individual part.
