Jugulárna
Jugulárna refers to the jugular vein, a major vein in the neck that carries deoxygenated blood from the head, face, and brain back to the heart. There are two main jugular veins, the internal jugular vein and the external jugular vein, located on each side of the neck. The internal jugular vein is larger and runs deeper, collecting blood from the brain, superficial regions of the face, and neck. The external jugular vein is more superficial and drains blood from the scalp, face, and parts of the neck. Both veins eventually merge with the subclavian veins to form the brachiocephalic veins, which then lead to the superior vena cava. The jugular veins are important for monitoring central venous pressure and can be used for venous access in medical procedures. Injuries to the jugular vein can cause significant bleeding.
