Johdonsuojat
Johdonsuojat, also known as "introduction protection" or "intro protection," is a feature in Wikipedia that aims to prevent vandalism and the introduction of low-quality content to new articles. When a new article is created, it is placed under a temporary protection known as "autoconfirmed" protection, which restricts editing rights to users who have made a certain number of edits and have been registered for a certain period. This protection is typically in place for a short duration, usually 30 days, after which it is automatically removed. The purpose of johdonsuojat is to give new articles a chance to stabilize and attract more experienced editors before they are exposed to the risk of vandalism. This feature is designed to encourage the creation of high-quality content and to maintain the overall quality of Wikipedia's articles.
