Jednosowowe

Jednosłowe is an adjective in Polish meaning "one-word" and is used to describe things that consist of a single word. In linguistic and grammatical usage it most often refers to a one-word sentence, known as a zdanie jednosłowowe. Such sentences typically express a complete idea through a single exclamation or imperative and rely on context or punctuation for clarity. Examples include words like hej, stop, dziękuję used as standalone utterances.

Beyond grammar, the term is also applied to titles, slogans, or headlines that consist of a single word. In these contexts jednosłowe descriptions highlight brevity and impact, for instance in literature, journalism, or advertising where a one-word title or slogan may stand for a larger concept.

Inflection and forms: as an adjective, jednosłowe agrees with the noun it modifies. The masculine singular is jednosłowy, the feminine singular jednosłowa, and the neuter singular as well as the plural form is jednosłowe. For example: zdanie jednosłowowe, nagłówek jednosłowowy, tytuł jednosłowowy.
