James Henry Younger, commonly known as Jim Younger, was an American outlaw and a member of the James–Younger Gang, a group of Confederate guerrilla-turned-robbers active in the American Midwest after the Civil War. He was the younger brother of Cole Younger and joined the gang to participate in its armed robberies alongside Jesse and Frank James.

The gang’s most infamous operation was the Northfield Bank Robbery in Minnesota in 1876. The attempt failed, leading to a violent pursuit by law enforcement and civilians. Jim Younger was captured in the aftermath and imprisoned in Stillwater, Minnesota, where he remained for several years.

After his release from prison, details of Younger’s life become sparse. The exact date of his death is not well documented, and little is known about his activities after leaving prison. The James–Younger Gang, though short-lived, became a prominent part of American outlaw folklore and has been the subject of numerous books, films, and other media.
