JamaatiIslami

Jamaat-e-Islami is a pan-Islamist and religious-political organization that originated in British India in 1941. It advocates for a society governed by Islamic law, known as Sharia. The organization believes that Islam is a complete code of life and that its principles should guide all aspects of individual and societal affairs, including politics, economics, and social norms.

Following the partition of India in 1947, Jamaat-e-Islami established branches in Pakistan and India, with the Pakistani branch becoming particularly influential.
