Jänniteolosuhde refers to the electrical potential difference across a biological membrane, a fundamental concept in cell biology and neuroscience. This potential difference arises from the unequal distribution of ions, such as sodium (Na+), potassium (K+), and chloride (Cl-), across the lipid bilayer of the cell membrane. These ions are actively transported and passively diffused, creating concentration gradients and contributing to the overall charge separation.
