Issy

Issy is a commune in the Essonne department in the Île-de-France region of France. It is located in the southwestern suburbs of Paris, approximately 10 miles from the center of the city.

The name "Issy" is derived from the Latin "Insula," referring to an island surrounded by water. This refers to the fact that Issy was originally an island in the Essonne River, which has since been drained and the river redirected.
