Investuji

Investuji is the first-person singular present tense form of the Czech verb investovat, which means to invest. The term is widely used in finance as well as in everyday language to describe allocating money, time, or other resources with the expectation of future benefit.

Etymology and morphology: investovat is a modern loanword from English invest, adapted to Czech spelling and conjugation. The verb is imperfective, so present-tense forms describe ongoing or habitual actions. The present tense forms are: já investuji, ty investuješ, on/ona investuje, my investujeme, vy investujete, oni investují. The past tense is built with a past participle and auxiliary verb (investoval jsem, investovala jsi, atd.). A related perfective form can be created with prefix z- as zainvestovat, meaning to invest (to completion) or to commit funds or resources decisively.

Usage: Investuji appears in financial contexts, business planning, and personal language. It can express concrete decisions, such as investing in stocks, as well as more figurative investments like investing time in education or effort into a project. The noun form is investice; the adjective investiční relates to investment.
