Inversfunksjon

Inversfunksjon is a mathematical concept that describes a function that "reverses" another function. If a function f maps an input x to an output y, then its inverse function, denoted as f⁻¹, maps the output y back to the original input x. In essence, applying a function and then its inverse (or vice versa) results in the original input.

For a function to have an inverse, it must be bijective, meaning it must be both injective (one-to-one) and surjective (onto). Injectivity ensures that each output value corresponds to a unique input value, preventing ambiguity.
