Intratimpánicas
Intratimpánicas refers to anything located within or occurring inside the tympanic cavity, also known as the middle ear. This anatomical space is a small, air-filled chamber situated medial to the tympanic membrane (eardrum) and lateral to the oval window. The tympanic cavity contains the ossicles (malleus, incus, and stapes), which transmit sound vibrations from the eardrum to the inner ear. It also houses the stapedius and tensor tympani muscles, which help to regulate sound intensity and protect the inner ear.
Conditions or treatments described as intratimpánicas are therefore related to this specific region of the ear.
