Interdiffusione

Interdiffusione refers to the diffusion of two or more different types of atoms or molecules into each other. This process occurs in solid, liquid, and gaseous states, driven by the tendency of systems to reach a state of higher entropy and lower free energy. In solids, interdiffusion is a crucial mechanism in processes like alloy formation, sintering, and the growth of diffusion barriers.
