Indravarman
Indravarman, also known as Indravarman I, was a king of the Khmer Empire, ruling from 877 to 889 CE. He is notable for his efforts to expand the empire and his patronage of Buddhism. Indravarman's reign marked a period of significant cultural and architectural development in Cambodia. He is credited with the construction of several temples, including the famous Preah Ko, which is considered one of the most important religious sites in Cambodia. Indravarman's reign also saw the establishment of the city of Hariharalaya, which later became the capital of the Khmer Empire under his successor, Jayavarman VI. Indravarman's legacy is significant in the history of Cambodia, as his reign laid the groundwork for the empire's future expansion and cultural achievements.
