Imotski

Imotski is a town located in the Split-Dalmatia County of Croatia. It is situated inland from the Adriatic coast, near the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina. The town is known for its unique geographical features, most notably the Blue Lake (Modro jezero) and the Red Lake (Crveno jezero). These are karst lakes formed in sinkholes, with the Blue Lake known for its vibrant blue color and the Red Lake for its steep, red-colored cliffs.

Historically, Imotski was an important settlement during the Ottoman era, with remnants of fortifications still visible. The town's economy has traditionally been based on agriculture, particularly wine production, and more recently, tourism drawn by its natural attractions. The local culture is rich, with traditional music and festivals playing a significant role. Imotski is also recognized for its football club, NK Imotski.
