Iltutmishs
Iltutmish, also known as Shams al-Din Iltutmish, was the third ruler of the Delhi Sultanate, governing from 1211 to 1236. He was purchased as a slave and trained as a military commander under Qutb-ud-din Aibak, the founder of the Delhi Sultanate. Following Aibak’s death, Iltutmish was elected sultan by the nobility and established his independence from Aibak’s successors.
