Ialomia

Ialomia is a county located in the Muntenia region of Romania. Its administrative center and largest city is Slobozia. The county is situated in the southeastern part of the country, bordering the Danube River to the south. Ialomia's landscape is predominantly flat, characterized by plains and agricultural land, with the Ialomita River flowing through its territory.

Historically, the area has been inhabited since ancient times, with archaeological evidence pointing to settlements from the Neolithic period.
