IMUyksiköiden, or "IMU units," refers to a set of standardized measurement units used primarily in the Finnish language to describe the size of a building's usable floor area. The term originates from the Finnish phrase "asunto- ja muu käyttöiä" (dwelling and other usage), which highlights the focus on habitable and functional spaces within a building.

The IMU system was introduced to provide clarity and consistency in reporting the size of residential and non-residential spaces, particularly in real estate transactions and construction projects. Unlike traditional floor area measurements, which may include structural elements like walls and columns, IMU units emphasize the actual usable area.
